Sabine Tapia is a singer, songwriter and double bass player based in Sydney/Eora, Australia. With guitarist Harley Coleman they celebrate the release of her new single “Where Are You Going” from her upcoming EP. A virtuoso songwriter and collaborator, Sabine’s life as a musician is interminable. Her songs feel like they’ve been carved out of those all too rare quiet hours. Her music is nuanced but never overworked, folk-like and familiar, yet edged with something that makes it entirely her own. Sabine’s ability to articulate poignant observations and evoke feelings of nostalgia is perfectly captured by Triple J’s Nick Findlay: “This is the song form of running into an amazing friend that you haven't seen in years.” YOUTUBE CLIP HERE

Inspiritus - meaning “to breathe in" explores the world of free improvisation by taking live inspiration from various images, making each performance unique and exciting, as both musicians and audience are taken on an auditory journey into the unknown. Led by Shane Carpini (drums/percussion), Inspiritus features some of Sydney’s finest experimental improvisers, such as Kenya Wilkins (piano/flute), Josh Shipton (electric bass), Lachlan Kerr (keyboard/synthesiser), and Liz Cheung (zhonghu/flute). Odyssey Eternal marks the groups debut album, a reflection on the constant discovery of both the internal and external to the self. The album is therefore a tribute and celebration to the gift that all humans have the ability to possess: the art of creation.

A massive year for violinist and singer/songwriter, Xani that's coming to an end. It's time to celebrate all the little wins. Xani Kolac is a rule-bender with a violin. Classically trained then gleefully corrupted, she rips the instrument out of stereotypes and drops it into the mess of songs, stories, and noise. It’s a gut-punch ballad, and also a wall of distortion. Improviser, composer, instigator, Xani’s shows swing like a wrecking ball between raw chaos and cinematic, heart-bursting stillness. “Her set wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience, a testament to the power of music to spark joy and bring people together.” (Upside Adelaide) “Xani Kolac is an expert at melding creative artistry with technology to build captivating sound worlds.” (The Age) MORE INFO or YOUTUBE

I suddenly realised I was the same age as old people, and I needed to play my compositions to people rather than let them sit in a filing cabinet next to the NRMA renewal forms... Some of these pieces of music are 30+ years old, and whilst my playing back then was questionable, the music stands up well, so I have asked some of my friends (and favourite musicians) to join me in bringing them back to life. I wrote most of them for my band in the 1990s called "The Storytellers". We will be playing some new material too, and some music written in the middle of the whole life crisis. Join us for an elegant, mostly meditative and slightly melancholy night of beautiful sounds. Nic Cecire: Drums Brett Hirst: Double Bass Lachlan McKenzie: Flugelhorn Bill Risby: Piano/composer
